Week 38/2022: Writing a bit more
Week of 19 September 2022
Writing a bit more
I did some writing this week. My goal was to complete each day’s writing task in the Creative Writing Bootcamp on the actual day of the task. That didn’t quite go according to plan. Well, one of the day’s tasks was to take the day off. That I didn’t find particularly difficult to do!
I missed writing on Saturday, which had the mammoth task of 1000 words. But that’s okay. I’m just carrying on rather than trying to frantically catch up on the days I’ve missed.
I’m struggling making time to write though, which I think is one of the purposes of this course, to figure out when your best writing times are, and how to make it work for you. I’m not sure if I’d find it easier to do this if I was working on a story rather than random exercises from the life writing course, which feels a bit disjointed. Although, on the other hand, there’s heaps of prompts I can work on, which I wouldn’t have if I was working on just one story.
Either way, it’s happening and I’ve completed two weeks.
I also did some work on the photo project I’ve been trying to complete. It’s getting close now. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it once I’ve done it but I’ll figure that out later.

Weekly summary
What was the best thing about this week?
I did some great things with Kramstable this week, which aren’t mine to share, but we had a good time. Well, at least, I did. I hope he did too.
I needed to take an extra photo for my project and the walk to do that turned into an impromptu photo walk on Sunday. That was fun.
What did I learn this week?
I can set my YouTube video settings to higher definition and see the falcons more clearly. Who knew.
